In summer 2012 we called Ryan the director of The Other Art Fair and asked if we could quote for the exhibition stand build. His next event was being held at P3 Ambika in central London, a venue we’d worked at previously and knew well. Ryan told us he was happy with his current suppliers but asked us to come along to his show in November for a chat. We meet with Ryan on the first day of the event and he wasn’t a happy man. His stand builders had let him down totally, the stands weren’t finished and even though the show was open to the public electricians were still fitting stand lights and the whole thing was a total shambles. The quality of the stand walls was poor and really didn’t convey the image that Ryan was looking for.
So, good timing for us! But also for Ryan and after some further meetings Ryan was confident that we could do the job and was amazed at the price we quoted, some 30% less than his previous suppliers.
As we know the venue we were able to improve on the floor plan thereby enhancing the exhibitor and visitor experience. As the next show got closer Ryan asked us to do more and more for him. Aside from building 100 exhibition stands with lights and power he also asked us to provide custom made signage, to build various desks and furniture and many of those other little jobs that always need doing. We recommended caterers for the event and sorted out some of the light entertainment.

Such was the success of this event we are now working with Ryan on his future art fairs. He’s confident in what we can do and has increased the size of the fairs because of this. We’re now involved in all of the planning stages and are encouraged to bring creative ideas to the table.
